The industrial-inspired architecture, characterised by soaring ceilings and expansive corner glazing, defines an open, light-filled environment where volumes, materials and proportions come together to create a distinctive architectural identity.
The architectural structure becomes an integral part of the exhibition concept, establishing a continuous dialogue. The different spaces unfold in a carefully considered sequence, where materials, finishes and volumes come together to create a harmonious and cohesive whole.

Surfaces become connecting elements, transitions are seamlessly integrated, and functions are organised within a unified architectural language. It is through this relationship between materiality, engineering and design that one of the fundamental principles of Modulnova’s philosophy takes shape: moving beyond the traditional concept of furniture to develop systems capable of defining the architecture of living spaces.

In the living area, the Brera and Blade bookcases introduce new possibilities for organising and interpreting space. These systems alternate solids and voids, surfaces and depths, helping to define perspectives and connections between different environments.

The identity of Modulnova Como is deeply rooted in the manufacturing tradition of the Cantù area, historically renowned for its woodworking craftsmanship and furniture production. The story of the Montorfano family began in the early 1910s, in Paolo Montorfano’s workshop, where a profound knowledge of materials and artisanal expertise laid the foundations for a legacy that would span four generations.
Over time, this expertise has evolved alongside the transformations of the furniture and design industry, while remaining firmly rooted in its founding values: a commitment to quality, precision in execution, technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail. A legacy of knowledge passed down and reinterpreted across generations, where the culture of craftsmanship progressively embraces new technologies, materials and design approaches.
